"A Church that doesn't provoke any crisis, a gospel that doesn't unsettle, a word of God that doesn't get under anyone's skin, a word of God that doesn't touch the real sin of society in which it is being proclaimed, what gospel is that? Archbishop Oscar Romero (1917-1980) "Never let other people define your reality or put you into bondage to their ways of thinking." Jerry Maneker.

MY GRATITUDE FOR THIS BLOG BEING NOMINATED AS BEST GAY BLOG OF 2009
I can't tell you how grateful and honored I am that my blog was nominated under the Political Blogs Section as The Best Gay Blog of 2009. It means more to me than I can express. Those who nominated this site, and those who read this site, also mean a great deal to me, and I just hope that we can all work and struggle together for full and equal rights for LGBT people, and agree that we will never quit until they shove six feet of dirt in our faces. God bless you all!

You got my vote...you´re a champ (literally) and I thank you for all that you do to help the ¨regular¨ folk understand the ¨other¨ regular folks.
Abrazos fuerte y mil gracias,
Leonardo Ricardo
Thank you so much, Leonardo! Your sentiments mean a great deal to me! God bless you! Best wishes, Jerry.
Congratulations, Jerry. Keep up the great work.
Congratulations! And thanks for letting me know about bestofgayblogs.com. I went and signed up to be listed the Jesus in Love Blog under the "religious and spiritual" category.
Kickin' ass and takin' names, that's what it takes . . . and that's what you do, Jerry. Congrats and good luck!
Thanks so much, genevieve! My very best wishes, Jerry.
Thanks Kitt. Take care, Jerry.
Thanks so much, Don Charles. As you know, "sweet reason" isn't going to change anything. "Reason" will only, hopefully, show LGBT people that all too many professing Christian clergy have lied out of their ignorance and/or mendacity, and that being Gay is as normal as is being Straight; gender expression that is natural for the person is normal, and gender expression is not to be seen as only being "normal" if the categories are merely binary. We are too complex for that, and God specializes in diversity. Besides, when it comes to dealing with virulent homophobes, going for the jugular is the only way to get them to climb back under the rocks they came from!
