I can't tell you how happy I am that my friend, Rev. Troy Perry, will be one of the speakers. He's not only the most charismatic, articulate and courageous LGBT rights activists in modern history, but he's got a heart for God and has been called by God to show all LGBT people that God created them just as they are, and loves them as God's very own children.
If you want a treat, ">buy the DVD, "Call Me Troy," which details his life!
He was the Founder of the Metropolitan Community Churches in 1968, and was its Moderator for thirty-seven years! Now, he travels all over the world speaking about God's unconditional love for LGBT people!
To learn more about Rev. Troy Perry, I strongly urge you to read his books: "The Lord is my Shepherd and He Knows I'm Gay"; "Don't Be Afraid Anymore"; "10 Spiritual Truths For Successful Living For Gays And Lesbians (and Everyone Else)."
Troy Perry: Pastor and Prophet," edited by Chris Glaser details significant of his life, struggles, and work by those who know him best, and who have worked with him over these many years. That, too, is a treat to read!
He's a genuine inspiration and hero! And I'm delighted that he will be speaking at the Equality March!
